This policy explains information handled through marvelouscity.rio and the contact mailbox. For privacy questions or requests, email contact@marvelouscity.rio.
Information you provide
If you email the publication, the message includes your email address, any name you provide and the contents of the correspondence. That information is used to respond, investigate a correction or handle the inquiry. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or personal documents that are unnecessary for your request.
The site’s contact page directs inquiries to email. Bookings made after following a hotel or ticket link are handled on the seller’s website, under that seller’s terms and privacy policy.
Website and usage information
The website and its service providers process technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, which can include IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages and security logs.
The site uses Google Analytics, installed through Google Site Kit, to understand visits and traffic. It also uses Microsoft Clarity to understand interactions with pages, including clicks, scrolling, heatmaps and session replay. These services may use cookies and similar technologies. Their processing is also described in Google’s information about partner sites and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
The presence of these tools does not mean that a hotel or ticket operator receives the contents of an email you send to the publication. Following an external link starts a separate interaction with that provider.
Services that support the site
The site uses Rocket.net for hosting and Cloudflare for network, security and performance services. Google Workspace supports the contact mailbox. Google and Microsoft provide the analytics services described above.
Information is shared with service providers as needed to deliver those functions, and may be disclosed where required by law or to address security incidents and protect rights. External booking providers handle the information you submit to them separately.
Cookies and your choices
Browser settings can control or delete cookies and restrict some tracking technologies. Blocking cookies can affect how websites work. Google also provides information about its Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Private-browsing mode does not by itself prevent a website or its providers from receiving technical information. Review the browser and provider controls that fit the choices you want to make.
If a future feature asks for an email subscription or other information, its collection and purpose should be explained where you provide it. This policy does not mean that an unoffered feature is currently collecting information from you.
International processing and retention
Marvelous City Rio’s service providers may process information in other countries. Applicable protections and requirements depend on the processing and the law that applies; simply visiting the site is not described here as blanket consent to every transfer or tracking activity.
Correspondence and related records are retained for the purpose of handling inquiries, maintaining relevant business records, resolving disputes and meeting applicable obligations. Service providers may retain technical and usage data under their own service arrangements. Contact the publication for a request about information associated with you; this policy does not promise a fixed deletion period for every type of record.
Privacy rights and requests
Depending on the law applicable to your information, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or information about processing, or to object to or restrict certain uses. Send a request to contact@marvelouscity.rio, identifying the interaction or information concerned. Only information reasonably needed to understand and verify the request should be provided.
Brazil’s data-protection authority provides information for data subjects, including available channels when a concern is not resolved. Other jurisdictions may provide rights and regulator contacts that apply to your circumstances.
Children, security and updates
The publication is intended for people planning travel, not for children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the site, contact the publication so the situation can be reviewed.
No online service can promise complete security. Avoid sending sensitive information that is not necessary for your inquiry. Material changes to this notice will be reflected in the updated date above.
